The other morning driving to school i saw two bald eagles sitting next to each other on the ice in white river. One had a white head and the other did not. I take it that the one that didn't have the white head was a juvenile eagle.. It was pretty cool I had to do a double take. I don't get super excited when i see them cause they arent really that rare around here but it was cool to see them pretty close and where i could get a good look at them out on the ice. the river is frozen all the way across in parts.. or it was

Man that's awesome!!! I've been hoping that I might see them out near the new house, looks like our chances are good! When I was living in Terre Haute near Maple Lake, my wife and I watched one fly directly over our house, a little over a year ago. I got chills. And last week I saw an American Kestrel chilling just outside of work before I left. Never realized how beautiful those little guys are. Then just last week I caught a glimpse of a Red Tailed Hawk in a tree in the backyard.
