The 8th Annual White River Invitational will take place on Saturday June 18th from (8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST.) Peg Draw at 7:00 am EST. Limited to 100 spots. This is the third leg of the Hoosier Carpers Tournament Trail and is also the BIGGEST carp fishing tournament held in Indiana. During a previous June tournament we had 108 fish caught in an eight hour time period. Fish up to 20 lbs. are present but not common. Most fish average 10lbs and under.
Make sure to bring some shade with you and plan accordingly, as this venue has no shade or cover unless you draw a bridge peg. It can be a real scorcher on the banks of the White River when the temperature gets above the 80 degree mark and its a nice sunny day or you will get drenched if it rains.
One of the best things about this tournament is the Night before Party in the Sportsmans Hall located behind Westside Bait and Tackle. Last year we had "Bivvy City" for those that just wanted to stay overnight or drove in from out of state and didnt want to get a hotel room for one night. If your lucky there might be an apperance again by the famous "Johny Cash" singing British guy.
Advanced registration is preferred, however you may sign up until 6:30 am on the 18th if spots are available.
Entry Fee: $30
80% cash payout at the end of the tournament. 10% in Door prizes and 10% in Trophies totaling 100% payout in total.
Trophies and cash prizes will be awarded to anglers with the top 3 total weight of all carp. Trophies and cash prizes will also be awarded to top 2 big fish caught at each tournament.
Plus prizes, trophies, and food.
There will be a box lunch served the day of tournament.
May group peg up 3 people together.
Awards will begin at 5:30 pm.
