just wonderin when the best time of year to musky fish was...i wanna hire aguide and go for my birthday and also does anyone know good guides that work lakes not to far from greene county (i know it will be a long ways but what are the closer ones)

The best time is spring and fall here in Indiana. I don't know of any muskie guides close to Greene County. There's quite a few up in the northern part of the state. I tell ya what, if I was gonna hire a guide, I think I'd go to Cave Run in Kentucky. It'd be about the same drive for us as going up north and there's some BEASTS in that lake!! Maybe you can hook up with Chase and me sometime at Bass Lake. We're no experts but we get lucky once in a while. Maybe we can trade a musky trip for a trip to YOUR bass lake!

honestly i have never heard of people catching muskies in sw wisconsin you can go up about half way up the state and catch them but you might run into one or two here

oh and all of those lakes listed on your post are about 2 hours north of me...on my first post i didnt mean up at the top of the stae i just meant up around Madison
