March Madness is quickly appoaching and I was wondering, who is interested in a BBB bracket pool? Should we play for money or just for fun? Let me know your thoughts. I am planning on getting a pool up and going for this site once the brackets are selected.

I also got another idea...what if, instead of charging a fee, everybody donated there favorite fishing lure (new or used). The winner receives the "pot" of lures Any other ideas?

Ok. I got it all set up on Yahoo!. To join the group you will need to select "Tourney pick 'em". Then, select "join group". It will then ask for the league name and password. The league name is BBB, the password is (I did this for all you anti-Purdue people out there) Go Boilers. Remember, you can sign up now but the bracket won't be ready to fill out until the NCAA makes their selections on Sunday, March 13th. Once the NCAA has made their selections you will only have 3.5 days to fill out a sheet. So, there is not much time. I believe you will have until the scheduled tip off time of the first game of tournament (March 17) to fill out a bracket. The only thing left to decide is how to pay. I am still up for suggestions on this. I do like the pay with a lure idea though. But, to do this, instead of mailing your lures to me and then me mailing them out to the winner we should just mail them to the winner at the end of the competition. Ideas?

I was thinking the same thing. Whoever wants to do a bracket will would have to able/willing to send their lure to the winner at the end of the tourney.

I'm surprised Monty the ISU grad hasn't been on here talking up those Sycamores!! I know I've been rooting for them. I was able to watch them beat Witchita State, but had to work for the Missouri State game. They finally start recruiting local kids again and look what happens; back in the BIG DANCE! I love watching that Odum kid(Terre Haute South) play. This is the kind of team that could pull off a first round upset.

I hear ya! I'm sure Monty will show his face on here once the brackets are set. I can't see him missing out on this competition.

Apparently I won't even be watching the games due to a contract ( $$$$$ ) dispute between Dish Network and the company that owns our local CBS station, WTHI. Kills me how I'm locked into a 2 year agreement with Dish, but they can turn off the channel we watch the most. I can probably pick it up with an antenna, but from what I hear, they're sold out from Sullivan to Indy. Guess I'll go to eBay.... The Trees are definitley peaking at the right time. Started their conference season on fire, but then hit a rough spot midway through. Got it together just in time for their tourney and now DANCIN'!!! Awesome season! Of course, I didn't get to see them win their tourney because it too was on WTHI..... GRRRRRRR!!!! I agree with Troy. Those 3 or 4 seeds better not be looking past them or they'll be watching round 2 from home. As far as the bracket goes...., man, that's something I just always suck at. I've tried studying the "experts" picks and really looking at match ups. It doesn't matter. I'm usually toast after the first round. With that being said, I'll probably still sign up. Maybe I'll go with Amy Poehler's strategy in the SNL skit with Peyton....

I should have picked up an extra converter when they were giving out those coupons. Have you guys seen where they're changing how March Madness is televised this year? A bunch of the games will be on the Turner networks. I'm worried about the ISU game being put on "TruTV." I'm pretty sure I don't have that one. CBS says the reasoning is because people complained when they cut away from their home teams game. I'm sure I probably complained when this happened before, but they really only do it when the games are no longer in doubt. Now, instead of the "Live Looks" they've always done, the games will be shown in their entirety, but on 4 different channels. Guess I should wait and see before I complain, but I'm worried about that TruTV channel! I'm sure they're just putting games on that one so people will "call their cable or satellite company" and request the channel. Just like FOX did with FX and Nascar years ago.

I'm having trouble logging in. It keeps saying wrong password when I type in Go Hoosiers. Seriously though, it says we need to enter the group ID number, not the name. Do you have that??

Hey guys, I'm definitely in for this. I always fill out a few brackets and doing one with a chance to win some lures will be fun. I'm hoping the Cleveland State manages to make it into the dance. They have been playing really great this season and it would be great to see them in it. Even if they do make it, I'm glad I have Ohio State to root for because they actually have a chance at going far.
