Theres no better place to tell the truth about "the home team"! And by great player i assume you mean CHOKE ARTIST in the highest fashion...Look long and hard at the FACTS and you will see the truth! OH, and i CAN argue with facts that he is a CHOKE ARTIST and NOT one of the greatest!!

I get tired of hearing you guys whine about this and that. "WAAAAA, HE'S A CHOKE ARTIST, WAAAAA, HE BEAT OUR TEAM, WAAAA I HATE HIM!" GET OVER IT! you wanna complain about it find somewhere else, hell go tell him, we dont care. This is not a " HATE THE COLTS/PEYTON MANNING" forum or thread, Chase asked our picks, we shared them. Lets leave it at that, if you wanna argue about it, we can do it somewhere OTHER than the OUTDOORS website.

Crows (not a fan but IMHO 6 is enough for the Squealers) Dirty Birds (would like to say Pack, but I really dont think they have anything for that Atlanta squad) Pats (would love to see THE GREATEST QB of the modern era with his 4th ) Sea Squawks ( i really dont see it but i HATE DUH BEARS!(its a black and blue division rivalry thing) ANYTHING can happen... )

First of all, I am pretty much anti-colts. However, I do respect them for running one of the most upstanding organizations in football. Secondly, as an extremely educated fan of football, I think it's ridiculous to not consider Peyton Manning as one of the greatest QB's ever. To watch him in action is nothing short of amazing. The fact that he pretty much calls all his own plays with little being sent in from the pressbox is incredible in itself. Let alone all the audibles he calls during a game. His biggest downfall may be that he knows the other team better than his own coaches and wants to do things his way too often. He hasn't had a running game to help him in 7 years. Is he the most accurate QB? Definately, no. I don't think calling him a choke artist is close to accurate, although he has not played his best in the biggest games. One thing that separates Manning from many other great QB's is that most other great QB's had elite defenses surrounding them (Bradshaw, Montana, Marino). I can't remember the Colts ever being referred to as an elite defense. Enough said!

19 post season starts with 9 wins...9-10 record in playoffs = CHOKE artist! i simply see, remember and retell the facts kids. First of all, I am not a kid (especially when it comes to football). I am a 36 yr old father of two football playing boys. I study film religiously involving certain players in NFL, as well as, NCAA to use as a training tool in coaching kids. I've probably forgot more about football than most people will ever learn! You state that Manning has 19 post season starts. "Choke artists" don't get the opportunity to start in 19 post season games. Do you realize that last season Manning became the first QB to take a team with the last place rushing attack in the NFL to the playoffs and then the Super Bowl? Don't forget he also had a middle of the road (at best) defense. His pick 6 in the super bowl was a result of his defense not being able to stop New Orleans in the 2nd half. He knew he had to make big plays and throw into tight spots to keep them in the game because NO was gonna chew up clock on the Colts defense. Also, 1 INT in a game where he threw 45 passes is not a bad stat at all. It justs looks bad because it was a pick 6. Performance of your own defense greatly effects your own QB's play. Just last season, Favre threw his fewest picks of his career (I think he had 4 going into week 13?). He also had an elite defense (not sure what happened to their defense this year). Brees also threw few picks last season. His defense was also very good. On the other hand, Kurt Warner threw alot of picks in his career and never really had a defense to help him. The reason for all of this is when your defense can't stop anybody it forces the QB to have to make risky throws to put points on the board. And by the way, I'm a devoted Saints fan!

For the record, i as well am devoted to football brother. Played MANY years...right up until i figured out i was too old to play and then be able to work on Mon. morning...gettin' old sucks. I watch/study film and see ALL the bad passes caught by great receivers. Football is one of the few things that will get me out of the deer woods on a sunday afternoon in the fall. How long you been a devoted 'Aints fan?? Just asking because i have SERIOUS respect for those of us that stick with our teams and can admit to it even in the bad times. I have 35 years wrapped up as a DUHtroit Dions fan! 2 seasons ago the Cards ALMOST won the Super Bowl...last year the 'Aints WON IT. These things give me hope! where were all these "Devoted" Dolts fans 15 - 20 years ago...i sure wasnt seeing 'em! Folks can make all the excuses they want... QB's are responsible for the throws they make and the picks resulting from those poor judgementsnot the defense, not the running backs, not the O-line...another reason i dislike that primodonna (as well as kurt warner) after one of those 10 playoff losses The God Peyton decided it wasnt HIS fault for the picks or the loss but the O line and in post game presser tossed 'em under the bus! Simply put...the guy is NOTwhat everyone (Dolts fans and the talking heads) wants to make him out to be....PERIOD! I have seen too much of the guy to be convinced any other way. Now lets examine Tom Brady (the mere mention of that name makes Dolts fans bristle and the hackles rise ) It was Tom that stated prior to his first start...I dont want to be introduced seperatley...i am but 1 man on a team and i think we should be introduced as a team. To this day thats how the Pats are introduced pre-game. How many picks did Brady have this season?! But he gets NONE of the hype Peyton gets! (and this IMHO is a great thing) Tom has a +.700 win average (the best win percentage EVER! better than, Elway, Montana (with arguably THE BEST team assembled), Young, Favre, Bradshaw (Another awesome set of players), has 3, COUNT 'EM, 3 rings and 4 starts in the big 'un... If you cant tell, I LOVE football (and discussing it) Fenchy, as stated above and as you can see in my Sig. line. I am a devoted DUHtroit Dions fan...this comes from YEARS of sitting at the Silverdome watching the likes of Billy Sims and Barry Sanders run td,s in, in front of me ( dad and uncle had 6 season seats, 2 ten rows up in each end zone and 2, 10 rows up 50 yd line opposing sides sideline)...I have 35 years in rooting for this team. Before anyone starts with the tired old Dolts fan arguement "well your a Dions fan, you couldnt possibly know anything" I am VERY well aware of my teams past and present failings. OH, and for those old enough to remember, or students of the history of the game, DUHtroit hasnt always been the laughing stock of the league. Fave. QB at this time is Tom Brady...just like what the guy does and how he conducts himself on the field. Was a time (in the distant past ) i was great admirer of John Elway.
