hey guys i think i will be ice fishing my grandpas pond he had built its filled with cats, hybrid gills, bass and crappie. ill probably target mainly the gills but does anyone know if the hybrids are any difrent than regular gill? ive fished for regular gills without much sucess but i usually rig a beemoth about 1-2 ft. of the botttom and wait. any tips?

You can fish hybrids the same as regular 'gills. The only thing I would do different is rig up with stronger line. My uncle had a pond with big hybrids that I ice fished one time and they kept breaking me off. Them buggers are strong!!

ya they ares strong and most of the time they seem to be a litlle more aggresive...also its easier to get the hooks out of their mouth

They are a dang site thicker for sure. Try using a ratso or shrimpo tipped with maggots.
