I was looking on the Nafa's website and they said there expecting coon fur to do pretty good this year. Also i found out that i have a licensed fur buyer who lives pretty close to me.

What prices you getting Anthony? I'd say coon will get up to 8 towards the end of season, its been a cold winter across the northern hemisphere, so I would be the prices will see a gradual climb as whatever surplus there was will start getting used to make coats and such.

What prices you getting Anthony? I have'nt been able to get anything in this year. There was talk over the summer of coons goin for $30 and up!(but we see how well that worked out ). I took in a few early in the season last year and got I think $15 apiece for em. and they were still blue. I hope your right Joe and prices DO go back up, otherwise alot of guys who sell fur are gonna be hurtin this year.

Dang $15 for blue coon? were they green or finished? The big northerns may go for $30 at the final auctions but we won't see that at our end.

still on the carcass, but they were BIG coons. I dont normally skin much unless its a beaver, mostly cause I am more apt to mess up a hide if I'm just rushin through it (like I would do on a coon) on beaver I take my time. especially since i dont have any good beaver knifes(dont kill enough to buy good knives lol).
