I've been aggressively trying to use up my deer meat to make room for more this fall. I will have to make this over the weekend. I don't think I ever made this like I said I was going to earlier in this post. Time to change that.

I simmered the deer meat in broth overnight last night. This morning I threw in all the other ingredients. I used brown sugar for my sweetener. OH, by the way, I cookes a few strips of bacon first and removed them from the pan. Then, I added my deer meat to the bacon grease. I'm hoping this will give it some subtle smokiness. I will let it simmer in the crock pot all day and enjoy it this evening. I sampled it already and it is gonna be damn good!
