Okay whiteman, how was the fishing this weekend? If the weather up north was anything like it was here, I'm guessing the conditions weren't that good? Chase and I sweat our butts off in the blind. Got any pics to post?

We had a great week of fishing!! Moved some real pigs on Tuesday last week and boated two plus the last two days we had 7 fish hooked and boated 4!! For musky that's dang good. I even boated one on the first cast of this morning. Our two largest were a 43 that I caught and a 45 that my buddy Brock nailed. I will have pics and video posted this week. For now ...Randy need sleepy time

Okay buddy. I can't take it anymore. I gotta go try and catch one of these monsters. As soon as I got off the phone with you tonight I looked up how to make a quikset rig, luckily I had all the stuff. I've got a couple of our heavy tackle catfish combos set-up with the quiksets and will be using the planer bobbers. Didn't have time to go after bait, so will try to catch some when I hit the lake. Also will be doing some casting with a bucktail and some big ol' swimbaits I raided out of my Dad's tackle box. I'll be on Bass Lake when the sun comes up. Not sure what I'm getting into, but wish me luck!

I would make sure you have at least 50lb braided line or a very heavy mono. Your leader should be at least 100lb 7 strand or fluorocarbon. Have a good set of pliers handy as well as a set of small bolt cutters to cut hooks out if the fish gets hooked deep. Good luck

I got a little bit of a late start this morning, some guy called and tried to tell me how to fish, , then I get over to the lake and the bridge is out on the main road going into the lake. No signs or anything, I pull down the road and there's barricades pushed off to the side of the road, so I go on down the road and see they're building a new bridge, so I have to back up the road to turn around. Went back to another road and finally got to the lake about sunrise. Only took a couple minutes to catch some bluegill for bait. The planer bobbers seemed to work pretty good slow trolling/drifting. Had two rods with live bait and was casting another. No toothy critters for me though. I did catch a glimpse of one, I was just north of the ramp with the fishing dock in the "stumpy" area, one of my livebaits was caught on a stump, I was bent down unhooking it and looked up and saw a little bit of back and tail of a fish about 25 feet in front of me. I started throwing that way, but no bites. I would guess that it was around a 3 footer. There was about 5 other boats on the lake and I didn't see anyone boat anything the 4 1/2 hours I was there. At least it was a beautiful morning....

Okay Randy, feel free to give anymore advice that you can think of. Maybe someone else on here is looking to get into this and would appreciate the input. Chase is wanting to do some fishing but with the weather finally cooling off we may be sitting in a tree instead of fishing this week.
